Mayo Clinic Releases 2023 Community Impact Report

Volunteers in Medicine is so proud to have so many community partners and Mayo Clinic is one that we appreciate so much. Mayo Clinic recently released their 2023 Community Benefit Report and in it they share the great work we are doing together.

From the report: “Mayo Clinic served vulnerable populations in collaboration with Volunteers in Medicine by providing inoculation and testing for human papillomavirus (HPV) at VIM and supplementing VIM clinic staff with services including cardiology, gastroenterology, gynecology and internal medicine. This work led to 284 patients being seen by Mayo staff and 439.23 staff hours. In addition, through grant funding from Mayo Clinic for Diabetes Care for Uninsured Working Adults, 198 patients were diagnosed with diabetes at VIM and received medications to help manage their condition.”

Thank you so much for all of the great work that you do Mayo Clinic and we look forward to our continued partnership. Click here to view the full Community Impact Report.
