Mayor Donna Deegan Announces Launch of Healthlink Jax: A New Healthcare Resource for Uninsured Duval County Residents

On Monday October 7th, 2024 Mayor Donna Deegan held a press conference to announce a new resource to improve access to care for the uninsured in Duval County called Healthlink Jax. This initiative is a partnership between JaxCareConnect, the Duval County Safety Net Free and Charitable Clinics, The City of Jacksonville and TeleScope Health. Volunteers in Medicine is proud to be a part of this initiative as one of the free clinic providers. We have been serving the working uninsured in our community for over 20 years utilizing over 250 volunteers a month to provide primary care and 16 specialties to over 1,300 of our community members annually through over 6,000 visits.

With Healthlink Jax, residents can connect with healthcare professionals virtually and be connected to a resource appropriate for their care.
