Celebrating Our Lifeblood: Volunteer Appreciation Dinner 2025

On April 22, 2025, Volunteers in Medicine honored our incredible volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Week with a festive evening at Havana Jax Café!

The night was filled with laughter, hugs, heartfelt stories, and delicious Cuban cuisine as we gathered to celebrate the countless hours served and the boundless compassion shared by these everyday heroes. From longtime volunteers to new faces, each and every one makes a difference in the lives of the working uninsured—and we couldn’t do it without you.

Special guests, including our cherished Co-Founder Dottie Dorion, joined us in raising a glass (and a few empanadas!) to the spirit of service that drives our mission forward. Thank you, volunteers—you are the heartbeat, the hands, and the heart of VIM.
