First Coast Cardiovascular Institute
Amy Williams is Operations Manager of Duval & Putnam Counties at First Coast Cardiovascular Institute.
Amy Williams began her healthcare career at Cleveland Community Hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee, as a phlebotomist in 1999. In 2007, Amy, along with her husband and three children, moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and Amy began working at First Coast Cardiovascular Institute (FCCI) as Front Desk Coordinator in 2008. Shortly after, she was promoted to New Patient Coordinator & Patient Advocate for the practice, then went on to become the Resource Scheduling Manager, Insurance & Referrals Manager, and most recently the Operations Manager of Duval & Putnam counties. She is currently responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of seven offices and two outpatient-based cath labs.
From front desk coordinator to Operations Manager, Amy has helped more than 10,000 Northeast Floridians receive cardiovascular care since 2008. In addition to her team, she is often the first person a patient speaks to before they receive care from FCCI. In cardiology, many conditions are dependent on treating the patient as soon as possible, and Amy understands this more than anyone. She is always communicating with physicians and her team to schedule patients with the appropriate provider to receive quality care quickly and efficiently. She has ensured thousands of patients have received life-changing procedures through her administration skills and imparts the importance of patient care onto her staff.
Amy lives by the quote, “No man ever became poor from giving to others,” and demonstrates that every day through her compassion for patients and their families.
